Now celebrating its 38th anniversary, the Fast is Concern’s most successful community fundraising campaign and a venerated Irish institution. Each year, it raises in excess of €1.5 million.
By raising sponsorship money you can help Concern work with communities to improve their lives in the long term. Also, the act of fasting for 24 hours gives you the chance to participate in an act of solidarity with those in the developing world that simply don’t have enough to eat.
This year the Concern Fast is on Thursday 29 November so don’t delay and register to take part right now.
Páidí the giant piggy bank will be touring Ireland collecting Fast funds this November 2007. Watch out for him around the country:
If you don’t feel like fasting, remember, you can always send a donation to the Fast Appeal - every €1 can make a difference to those in need.
