Primary school prize winners

To support this year’s Fast, we are asking primary school pupils to eat healthily for a day!

What about fasting?

Instead of doing a 24-hour Fast, we’re asking students to give up sweets and unhealthy food for 24 hours. Why? Primary school children need all the nutrition they can get, so fasting for a day isn’t a good idea. But they can of course give something up.

Or, organise another fundraising event in school, like a pyjama day. Read loads of other great fundraising ideas.

3 December

Remember, this year’s Fast will take place on Thursday, 3 December. But if that day doesn’t suit, just pick one that does.

The prize

By taking part in the Fast, and raising as much money as you can, your school is automatically entered into a prize draw. Thanks to Children’s Books Ireland, we have a great prize up for grabs.

Meet the author

The winning school will be visited by a celebrated children’s author! They will pop into your school for a fun-filled day of classroom activities, including readings and workshops. They’ll also answer questions about the characters from their books.

It could be the most fun you’ll have in class all year!

Rules apply

This prize is for primary schools only. Full competition rules.
