FASTING do's and dont's

FAQSDon't Fast for too long - no more than 24 hours. And we recommend that you start your fast after your evening meal.

Don't go without drinks during your Fast. Also, you might want to suck on sweets to keep your energy up. Eat if you become uncomfortable, if you develop a head-ache or feel light headed or dizzy. Your health is most important and your sponsors will understand.

Fasting is not recommended for anyone who is diabetic, pregnant or breastfeeding, or has kidney or liver problems, or anyone who suffers from an eating disorder, asthma or tuberculosis. If in doubt, please consult your doctor.

Only ask family, friends and people you know for sponsorship.

Don't forget that you don't have to actually FAST to take part. How about a head shave or quiz instead? Or perhaps you can come with your own ideas…
